To assemble you kit you should have these 4 pieces.
First solder the ESP8266 board on to the cypher of the monks PCB
Solder the 4 way jumper flat onto the cypher of the monks PCB
Solder the display to the other end of the jumper, ensuring that the signals on the display match the signal names on the PCB. vcc=3.3v and GND=0v
You can now plug in your board using the USB lead. It should show the settings for network connection.
