Solenoid Engine Buttons

V4,V8,Flat4 and Rotary 5 only

On the V4,V8,Flat4 and Rotary 5 engines there are two buttons, their function is slightly different from the other solenoid engines.

BOTH buttons On Power up

Pressing BOTH buttons on power up will reset all of the engine settings to a default values. It will also trigger the engine to set its Top Dead Centre, by engaging solenoid 1.

Ensure that the engine has rotated to the solenoid 1 TDC and release the buttons.

The engine will reset itself, and power up with its ignition off.

Neither Buttons on Power up

Powering up the engine with neither buttons pressed the engine will start with the same settings as last time, but with its ignition off.

To start the engine briefly push one of the buttons and give your engine a slight push.

Speed Up

Press and hold this button to speed up your engine. If your engine is stopped this will also turn on the ignition.

Speed Down

Press and hold this button to slow down your engine. If your engine is stopped this will also turn on the ignition.

Holding the down button until after the engine has stopped will reverse the direction, although you will need to push the flywheel again to re start.

Stop

Pressing both buttons together will stop your engine by turning off the ignition.
