Nano Probe – Logic probe / Oscilloscope

£10.80

The Nano Probe is a combined logic probe and miniature oscilloscope. Designed as an easy to use tool for watching the outputs of a logic or microprocessor system, when you don’t want to lug a large piece of test equipment to your small PCB

The Nano Probe is run from your test PCB’s supply, either 5V or 3.3V, This means that is is always ready, and will automatically configure itself for the required logic levels. It contains two LED’s indicating High or Low and these will only illuminate when the threshold of the logic level is exceeded.

A 3D printed case is available to download. The Nano Probe does not come with a case.

Description

The Nano Probe is a combined logic probe and miniature oscilloscope. Designed as an easy to use tool for watching the outputs of a logic or microprocessor system, when you don’t want to lug a large piece of test equipment to your small PCB

The Nano probe has been designed to be small enough to keep with your hand tools, small enough to get into the tight spaces required when testing modern surface mount equipment, but big enough to give you a simple insight into what that pin is doing.

The Nano Probe is run from your test PCB’s supply, either 5V or 3.3V, This means that is is always ready, and will automatically configure itself for the required logic levels. It contains two LED’s indicating High or Low and these will only illuminate when the threshold of the logic level is exceeded.

It will also give you a logic level indication in time as an oscilloscope trace, ideal for diagnosing I2C or serial line issues.

The Oscilloscope will also work with analogue levels (between 0V and the PCB’s supply) to give you an indication of the signal being tested.

The probe is a sharp pogo pin type connector (although you can solder on whatever probe you like) which gives you a precise connection to even the most dense pins or test pads.

Although the Nano Probe is based around a surface mount PCB, all of the surface mount components are pre soldered, leaving the display, LED’s buttons and the probe to be soldered on to the PCB.

The Nano Probe is only 55x15x11mm and has a 3D printed case you can download and print. It connects to the supply of your test board via two 200mm silicone Dupont connectors, or you can solder on whatever you like.

Resources for building and using your Nano Probe are here.

NOTE: The Case is NOT provided with the Nano probe.
