The 4017 is a recreation of the popular CMOS IC the CD4017
NOW AVAILABLE TO BUY!

I’ve taken the internal structure of the 4017 and implemented it with 210 surface mount transistors. The circuit is an approximation of what would be inside a real 4017, but all of the logic is created with the 4017s datasheet logic diagram and timing, which are both printed on the reverse of the PCB.
The Pins are connected with 4mm “banana” sockets to connect the 4017 to an external circuit. Each pin (excepting power pins) have an LED to show the state of that pin.
Also on the reverse is an area to put a NE555 to drive the chip a USB C connector and a hand full of components so you can power your chip in for demonstrations with no external circuitry.
The Kit comes with an acrylic stand simulating the DIP 16 package that the original would come with.
